I am a graduate in Biological Sciences from the University of Warwick and have worked in scientific imaging using electron microscopy at Horticulture Research International, the University of Derby and the University of Bath.

I am experienced in the preparation of chemicals and bacteriological media, titration, spectrochemistry, isolation and culture of bacteria using aseptic techniques and identification techniques, immunocytochemistry, specimen preparation techniques for light and electron microscopy and the use of scanning and transmission electron microscopes for research, teaching and consultancy purposes, including fixation, dehydration, embedding and staining of specimens, ultramicrotomy, freeze fracture, critical point drying, the use of sputter coaters and high vacuum coating units, EDAX and digital image processing.
