Mithras is a death metal group that was formed in 1998 under the name Imperator by Rayner Coss, Leon Macev and Justin Joyce. When the Polish group of the same name
reformed, they changed their name to Mithras and released a self-financed demo album in September, 1999 called Gods Among Men. A second, Dreaming in Splendour
followed before they signed to Golden Lake Productions releasing Forever Advancing...Legions 1&2 in 2002.
